UN ICT Task Force Series 6 - Creating an Enabling Environment: Toward the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)

This 301-page book represents a collection of papers that look toward a constructive analysis of gaps, bottlenecks, challenges, and opportunities in respect to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the ways in which information and communication technologies (ICTs) offer ways to move forward.

This book is divided into two parts: the first comprises the proceedings of the Global Forum of the United Nations (UN) ICT Task Force on “Promoting an Enabling Environment for Digital Development” held in November 2004; the second part is the result of ongoing work from the Working Groups of the UN ICT Task Force in the context of the MDGs.
